NICKLAUS JONES

CREATIVE DIRCETOR | INTERIOR REFINER

Life leads you down many paths and turns to prepare you for what lies ahead. Mine lead me to a education and career as a Pastry Chef and 10 years as a Fashion Designer. The need to do something that allowed me to step into my purpose created Design & Strokes. Today, I create beautiful and timeless things through Interior Design and Creative Conceptualization. As a creative director I understand the importance of not just coming up with an idea, but also building the right team to bring that idea to life. In my career, my work has been featured in numerous magazines, and my clothing has been worn by celebrities such as Tyler Lepley (Tyler Perry's The Have and Have Nots), Marcedes Lewis (Green Bay Packers NFL Player) , Krista White (Winner of America's Top Model), Gloria Govan (TV Personality) just to name a few.

As an Interior Designer I believe not only should a space be beautiful, but it should also be functional to the way you live. I received my Interior Design degree from Delta State University where I also received my BFA in Photography as well. Which allows me the ability and knowledge to design a space that attracts the lens. During my teenage years I spent my summers doing construction in my family's business which led me to doing design work for other's at an early age. Through those years of experience I developed a keen eye for Interior Design through execution, and also through formal education.

I know now that my purpose is to visualize a concept, and executing that in a timely and efficient manner whether it be creating spaces of living, commercial or through Creative Direction.

“Design is an opportunity to continue telling the story, not just to sum everything up.”
